Stacks
The stacked compositions are discrete non-functional forms, sculptural pieces; that explore colour, form and visual balance. Hand mould blown glass components, cold worked then fixed together.
As exhibited at the Royal College of Art Show One, 2004.
Illuminated from behind, and installed on floating glass shelves the viewer is encouraged to read the composition as a whole, and as a series of four columns, as well as eleven individual units. It was my intention that the irregular spacing within the column encourages the viewer to see it as a whole line.
