Guiding Line: Between Places
Piercing the wall, these hand blown glass elements arouse curiosity and our delight in sensual richness. With variations in the wall thickness and depth of colour the interiors of these forms are not standardised.
By peering into the 'porthole' you are offered glimpses into an otherwise hidden room. The thick optically polished opening transmits the light, and is animated by changes in the ambient lighting conditions.
Whilst the rounded forms of the other side offer a different visual and tactile experience.
These turquoise components might be an ideal guide towards a swimming pool, the varying colours and the distortion created within the glass are evocative of the view into rippling water.

With the beginning of the line visible from first decision point the path that needs to be taken is defined.
The colour of the circular components would correlate with the graphic signs directing visitors, and they would perceive the connection and would assume that the line of spots would 'take them' to the location in stated in type.
This connection by colour would also be strengthened by its continuance in the colour scheme of the end location. Any information literature that visitors will have consulted before their visit should also correlate so as to reinforce the connection.
